Where we came from, what we believe, and how we live.
NSTF was formed in 2021, during Covid. When lockdown came, we kept meeting online, and the fellowship grew a resilient character in seeking the Lord that it still has today.
North Shore Tamil Fellowship is an outreach of Otahuhu Community Baptist Church in South Auckland, a mission-minded church. Its pastor and leaders saw the need for a Tamil ministry on the North Shore and prayed about it for many years before the fellowship began.
Today we are a growing spiritual home for Tamil-speaking believers and families, many originally from Tamil Nadu, India. We unite in our native language to worship, strengthen our faith through Scripture, and build meaningful Christian relationships here in New Zealand.

Formed during Covid, meeting on the second and fourth Friday of each month, and online through lockdown.
Moved to weekly Sunday evening worship at 5:30 pm, and our Sunday School began.
New families and students keep joining us at Glenfield Baptist Church.
Fixing our eyes on Jesus, presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ unequivocally, and aiming to bring gospel renewal to our neighbourhood, to people and to places.
We believe in God the Father, and in His Son Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Spirit—One God, who is the Creator of all things and sustainer of all things.
We believe in the true humanity and Deity of our Lord Jesus, the True Messiah, who came into the world to save mankind as prophesied in the Holy Bible.
We believe in the atonement made on the cross by our Lord Jesus for the sins of the world.
We believe in the need for salvation from sin, understanding humanity’s fallen state, through the power of Jesus Christ through His atoning death and resurrection.
We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit as the one who sets apart, empowers, and imparts spiritual gifts to the church.
We believe in the inspiration of the Holy Bible and its authority in all matters of faith and practice.
We believe in the membership of the Church for the regenerate, whose faith is in Christ Jesus alone, and who are committed to the church’s aims and functions
We believe in the ordinance of believers baptism through immersion, who trust in Jesus Christ for their salvation and publicly confess their faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe in the Holy Communion (The Lord’s Supper), as an ordinance commemorating the death, resurrection and promised return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ will return again as promised in the Scriptures and restore the world to a new Creation and to Himself.

The aims and functions are: Within New Zealand
To meet regularly for worship, prayer, teaching, encouragement and fellowship
To express the love of God to the community through the ministries of the Word and practical care
In every possible way to seek to make disciples of Jesus Christ and bring them into membership of the church, which is the building of Jesus Christ.
Engage in the task of mission principally within New Zealand but also overseas. (see Matthew 28:19-20).
